The company was founded in 1961, at which time its main business was the installation of heavy mechanical
equipment for the cement and steel industry that included the installation of rubber linings in raw mills.  From this
experience with industrial rubber, the company became involved in the supply and installation of industrial rubber
flooring. This led on naturally to the use of rubber for other applications.

In the early 70’s, the company became involved in the development of the Monaflex Vulcanising System for tyre
repair, which used rubber Heat Pads and Air Bags to provide a lightweight portable system that could be easily
transported in a small truck for on site repairs at mines, quarries and construction sites.  The economics of
repairing tyres on site was obvious, as it saved the substantial costs involved in transporting large tyres to the
nearest repair shop, which could be hundreds of miles away.  Several enterprising companies set up mobile repair
units that serviced groups of these sites and this is still happening today in parts of the world.

Since the early days, the Monaflex range of Vulcanising systems has been improved and expanded to handle the
vulcanisation of all repairs to Car, Truck and OTR / Earthmover tyres, and the company now exports 80% of its
products to tyre repair shops and retreaders around the world.  These customers would agree that, apart from the
obvious advantages provided by Monaflex Vulcanising Systems, they also benefit from excellent personal pre-sales
and after-sales service, with every query answered within 24-48 hours, depending on international time
differences. The company will continue in its every effort to provide quality service and quality products.
